Privacy notice

Last updated November 2, 2026. allthings.coffee is a small independent site. We don’t use cookies, accounts, ad trackers or third-party analytics.

What we collect

Nothing you type or submit: the site has no forms or logins. Search and filters on the video library run entirely in your browser.

Usage logs

The site is served through Amazon CloudFront, which writes standard access logs (time, page requested, referring page, browser user agent and IP address) to a private Amazon S3 bucket we control (allthings-coffee-logs-762071318127). Pages also request a tiny image, /px.gif, after they load, so we can tell real page views from bots; it sets no cookie and carries only the page path. We use these logs for aggregate counts such as page views and popular pages. In our reports, IP addresses are replaced by a hash that changes every day, so visitors can’t be followed across days. Raw logs are deleted after about 13 months. We don’t sell or share them.

Buy links pass through allthings.coffee/go/…, which counts the click in the same logs before forwarding you to the roaster.

YouTube

The video library uses YouTube API Services. By watching videos here you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google’s handling of data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.

  • Thumbnails load from YouTube’s image servers (i.ytimg.com), which see your IP address and browser like any image request.
  • Players on video pages use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). YouTube doesn’t store cookies for personalisation until you play a video; once you do, YouTube may set cookies or similar storage under its own policies.
  • Video data (titles, descriptions, publish dates, view and like counts) comes from the YouTube Data API. We refresh it daily and delete anything we haven’t been able to refresh in 30 days. We don’t access or store any data about you through the API: there is no YouTube sign-in on this site.
  • You can review and revoke any app’s access to your Google account at Google security settings; this site never requests that access.

Fonts

Text fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address and browser details when the fonts download.
